Love Liner.

I love wearing liquid or gel liner, it can really complete your eye look and unless you are a pro at applying false lashes it really is a must in order to hide that lash band!! I alternate between gel and liquid liners and in terms of what are my favourites I recommend MACs Blacktrack Fluidline and the Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner. For liquid liners I love the Estee Lauder Double Wear Liner and the Rimmel Exaggerate Liner. So if you love wearing liquid liner or are wanting to try it out I've put together four different but easy ways to wear liquid eyeliner.

So the first way to wear your liner is the simplest. Just apply your liner as thin or as thick as you want to just above your lash line. You can wear this with or without eyeshadow and is ideal if you just want to hide your lash band or give a little more definition to your eye.You can easily achieve this look using any type of eyeliner, with a sharp enough eye pencil you can definitely achieve it. I personally prefer using a gel liner for it. You can also smudge it out to get a more grungy casual look.

So if you want to add a little more you can create flick or cat eye. Simply extend the liner past your eye at a slight angle and then fill it in. This eye look used to be typical when paired with a red lip but you can now wear it on its own or with any look, casual or dramatic! Again liquid or gel liner will do the job, but I like using a liquid liner to create the flick. If you having trouble with it there are loads of videos online using the tape method, I'd definitely recommend checking those out. You can eye that method for creating crisp eyeshadow looks too.

I binged watched Carli Bybel's videos a while back. She introduced extending your liner into your inner corner. It really does create the illusion of a bigger eye, especially when paired with winged eyeliner. It adds more dimension to your look without being too dramatic. The trick is to keep the extension as thin as possible and as close to the eye as possible so that you don't end up with a gap in between. Liquid liner is my personal fave for creating this, and paired with a sparkly inner corner highlight it will add an extra something to your eye makeup.

The last suggestion is the most dramatic and in my opinion its definitely not an everyday look. So again you just add on from the last look. I put the liner underneath my eye and and extend past the bottom part of my eye, and join it at the inner corner. I put some pencil eyeliner on my waterline and smudged it into the liquid liner, because otherwise you would be left with a strip of skin colour between your liner and your eye. Paired with a statement lip or smokey eye I love this more dramatic liner!

  1. I really like this post, it was super helpful. I am usually too lazy or don't have enough time to apply eye liner, but it always makes the whole look better!
