Life Changer, Veganism?

Happy New Year! Im not even going to address my being MIA for several months because sometimes life just takes over, and you put things on the back burner. However it is now 2016 and I for one am planning on makeup several changes to better myself and my life (cheesy I know). As you've probably guessed blogging is one of the things that I really want to get back into,  love taking photos and writing posts but sometimes dedicating the time to it can be hard. I think I might change my blog a little. Don't get me wrong there will still be plenty of makeup posts but I want to include more lifestyle posts and other aspects of everyones life. Posts on travelling, food etc. posts that I would want to read.

So here it goes my first post of 2016, and its going to be a mini intro to one of the game changers Ive decided for this year. Im going to go Vegan. Well majority vegan, currently Im trying to eat vegan fully during the week and then eat vegetarian but have a little cheese on the weekend (Im seriously struggling with the no cheese). I also had a Vegan Food Instagram that I started several months ago when I dabbled in Veganism but Ive reactivated it and Im posting food pics there as often as I can. Feel free to have a look @veganlozlife and follow if your a major foodie! I'm hoping to write again soon with a makeup and skincare haul, Ive gotten a few bits that I LOVE and I can't wait to share them with you!

I hope you all have a happy and healthy new year

My Day In Pictures, Wexford.

I'm really loving looking at "My Day In Pictures" posts, so I'm definitely going to be featuring them more often on my blog. Monday the 26th of October was a bank holiday so my boyfriend David organised a "surprise date". So in other words he chose the location and I had no say. I don't live near the beach and the weather in Ireland isn't exactly idyllic, but we had an amazing day. We got absolutely saturated from the wind pelting rain at us at the beach and actually had to go and buy new clothes, to avoid pneumonia of course! We drove to Wexford town and went to Carne beach, if you are ever visiting Ireland I suggest making it one of your stops and the Lobster Pot for lunch is a serious must! The journey took about 4 hours return but it was totally worth it.

Last Minute Halloween Makeup Idea, Skull.

Firstly I'd like to apologise for my absence over the past few weeks. I started college on October 12th and it was my 22nd birthday on October 15th, so with everything new starting my blog got put on the back burner a little bit. However Im back and ready for action, I'm just going to have to learn to dedicate my time a little bit better!

Today in college I did this super simple Sugar Skull inspired makeup. Best of all it required only three products! I used a light shade of foundation, black pencil liner and a matte black eyeshadow, thats literally it! I'm pretty sure virtually everyone has these products already at home so it doesn't require even buying anything! I used the Estee Lauder Pure Color Black pencil liner and the Ingot matte black shadow (can't remember the number!) purely because their pigmentation is amazing. Brush wise I used a fluffy blending brush, a large flat shader and a dense blessing brush too. It took me about  half an hour. Now had I have had more time and not had to go out to lunch afterwards I would have added liner to the waterline and upper lash line and added some lashes.

It really just goes to show that you don't need loads of expensive special effects makeup and tools to do a nice Halloween look! What are you guys doing for Halloween this year? I will probably sit on my couch, watch a movie and eat my weight in chocolate.

Foodie Fridays #1, What I Ate.

I am a massive foodie, so I wanted to start some sort of series where I post pictures of food I have eaten, recipes, what I eat in a day type posts etc. I was playing around with titles and I liked the Foodie Friday concept because it didn't limit me to just one type of blog post. I'm still unsure as to whether this will be a weekly or monthly fixture but we will see how it goes.

Todays post is a what I ate post. These are all meals I ate while in Portugal and aside from breakfast they were all eaten in restaurants. Just as a little FYI I very rarely/ never eat meat anymore, however I do eat seafood! Please do leave me links to your favourite food related posts or if you have any ideas for this food series please do share!

Breakfast

Toasted Belgian waffles with peach and pineapple on top. Green juice containing ginger, carrot, cucumber, apple, spinach and more things I can't remember!

Lunch

I had these little potato chip type things (normal & sweet potato) with a sweet chilli mayo dip and a glass of coke with ice. I then had a prawn, mango, tomato and rocket salad with a sweet chilli dressing!

Dinner

For dinner I had battered fish and chips with some sweet chilli mayo. As you've probably realised I LOVE sweet chilli! Also the newspaper in the bottom of the basket was so cute, A+ for presentation!

Now I realise this isn't exactly the worlds healthiest day of eating but then again I'm not the worlds healthiest eater either! I love seafood even more when I'm abroad and by the sea. Its always so delicious. Hopefully this will become a monthly blog fixture where I will share with you my healthy and not so healthy food obsessions. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Life In Pictures, Portugal.

I am lucky enough to get to be in Portugal this week before I start college. The weather is actually beautiful this time of the year and its nice and quiet because its not peak tourist season. This post really should be all pictures but I said I'd share my dramatic start to the week first! We took off from Dublin airport on Monday morning and were flying to Faro airport. Now, if you live in Ireland you may have heard/ seen this on the news already but we had a bit of a problem after take off. Now, I'm a nervous flier and a self confessed drama queen when it comes to being on a plane but the noise the plane was making straight after take off was not normal. It was a vibrating whirring kind of noise but I was trying to convince myself it was normal. We were only flying about fifteen minutes and the pilot said we were turning around due to a problem with one the engines. To cut a long story short the engine later failed and was switched off, and when we landed into Dublin again the runway was lined with fire engines! Not the start to the holiday I was expecting but we did fly out later that morning and arrived safely. So here are my few of my snaps over the past few days, hope you enjoy!
